10-day Yoga Retreat at Palm Tree Yoga Centre, Keralas, South India
Oct 31-Nov 10 2026

Join me for a deep, immersive dive into the joy of yoga asana, meditation, mantra and pranayama, with the opportunity to explore embodying the deeper philosophy of yoga off the mat in South India.

“I went on a week long retreat let by Leo and couldn’t have asked for anything more – her thoughtfulness, attention to everyone’s needs, group facilitation, and holistic approach to yoga, meditation and massage was wonderful. I would fully recommend to anyone who wants to connect more with their body and do yoga in an accessible way.” Ruth

Yoga: The yoga shala is fully equipped where with space and equipment for 24 students. No need to bring anything from home. There are cooling roof fans and bamboo blinds so that we may practice in comfort. We have magnificent views of the Indian Ocean and during the evening practice we watch the sunset over the sea.

The morning session is usually 7.30-9.30am will include quiet meditation, more active asana (always adaptive to meet you where you are, all bodies and all levels of experience – or not – welcome), pranayama and mantra. In the evenings we will practice at sunset from about 5pm – 6.30pm. These sessions will vary each day and will be more restorative, somatic-based practise, also including Yoga Nidra/Meditation and Pranayama. I also offer some Thai-based massage practises within classes where appropriate, which has been extremely popular with previous participants.

My aim as your teacher/guide/host for this retreat is that we will go on a journey together, exploring the body through the koshas (from the physical to the more subtle energetic), studying yoga philosophy in an applied, practical and embodied way. My ‘plan’ is always adaptable to the group and each individual within it, but the overarching themes will offer the opportunity for deep personal and interpersonal reflection and connection.

Massages and Ayurvedic treatments: can be arranged on-site or at the nearby Ayurvedic Centre.

Food:The on-site restaurant serves a delicious breakfast every morning after yoga and dinner four evenings each week. Kerala has incredible vegetarian cuisine so on other evenings we can explore the many local restaurants. Teas, coffee, drinking water and biscuits are also available outside of meal times.

Accommodation: Palm Tree Yoga Centre Spread over three houses overlooking the beach at this is such a magical place to stay. As we are so close to the Indian ocean we also get the cooling sea breezes. The venue is nicely decorated with cool marble floors. All bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and en-suite facilities with solar-heated shower, WC, basin and mirror, ceiling fans and mosquito nets on the windows.

Each building has a communal kitchen with a fridge freezer. Each building also has a large and airy living room for relaxing with a dining area, sofa and comfy chairs.
Wifi is available

With its ocean views and roof-top yoga shala overlooking a peaceful bay in the Indian Ocean, you can choose whether you simply relax, getaway from it all or take your time to explore Karalan culture, a short stroll or rickshaw ride from local shops and restaurants.

Weather: This is a great time of year to visit Kerala, where it is not flooded with monsoon or tourists, and temperatures are usually comfortable (24-30), the sun makes plenty of appearances in between any rain showers. This time of year is considered to be the the best for Ayurvedic treatments, lush vegetation and soothing pace.
