Leo Taylor (she/they)

I am a Senior Yoga Teacher within the Vajrasati school of yoga, accredited with Yoga Alliance 500-hour Teacher Training Plus, teaching in person, online in the UK and on international retreats since 2006. Inspired by a desire to work deeply and therapeutically, both in classes, workshops and 1-2-1s as well as in applied bodywork, I am also an advanced level Therapeutic Thai Massage practitioner.

I write, edit and co-author books on Yoga. My most recent books are Yoga Teacher in a Box and Yoga & Somatics for Immune & Respiratory Health. I am currently co-authoring a book on Embodied Menopause, sue for publication in 2026.

I am passionate about yoga in a holistic sense: the relationship between asana, mantra, pranayama and meditation (body, mind, breath and sound) practice on the mat and developing a deeper sense of connection (to self and each other), centre and space beyond. Yoga is a liberative practise which cultivates open awareness, generosity, acceptance and non-judgement.

This ethos is core to the online communities that I run: Please do like the Centred Space Facebook page or Follow @centredspace on Instagram.

Before I taught yoga, I worked as an editor in women’s magazines, and have written articles on conscious parenting and yoga for various magazines and websites such as Red, ELLE and The Guardian, and have edited a number of yoga books.

  1. Hi Leo.

I came to see you on Monday morning, thanks to my lovely daughter Tashi, who knew I was struggling and wanted to help so booked me an hour’s therapeutic massage with you.

As I told you, I was feeling very down and depleted. Since seeing you I have felt so much better…. not great, but not completely unable to manage anything beyond the basics. It could be coincidence, or not, but I really appreciated my session with you and was touched by your kindness and sensitivity. You suggested meditation, perhaps a walking practice, and pranayama breathing. I am trying to introduce those into my daily life.

My heart still hurts but the arrythmias are definitely decreasing. I’m sure they were stress/anxiety related as I feel well and have no problem with physical exertion.

    Thank you,
    Elspeth

  2. Hi Elspeth,

Apologies, this is an old message that I’ve only just found in the back end of my website!
Lovely to hear how the treatment helped and I hope you’re still feeling much improvement from these lifestyle changes.

Hope to see you again soon,

    Warmest wishes,
    Leo
