Perimenopause: a spiritual portal

You are invited to shelter from the noise and panic that usually surrounds perimenopause, and sink instead into the deeper, liminal possibilities of this epic transformation. Away from the relentless cultural toxicity, you can engage with well-tested practices, structures and mindful conversations that invite spaciousness, self-compassion and acceptance.

In a culture where the prevailing narrative is that perimenopause is a car crash of terrifying symptoms that marks the beginning of ageing, invisibility and decay, no wonder you have some anxiety and fear around this change.

When menopause is framed instead as a spiritual portal through which you can attune to your life calling and find a place of trust in your inner wisdom, different potentials become possible. In many cultures around the world, menopause is revered as a time of initiation into elderhood, wisdom and often spiritual leadership, and Leo and Kate’s gentle holding opens the possibility of weaving new stories and patterns as you transition into the next stage of your life.

In this practical day retreat, Kate and Leo invite you to explore the liminality of the pause, the space of undoing and unknowing, of profound personal evolution. You will be guided through meditative, physical and reflective practices to unwind conditioned personal and cultural beliefs around menopause and ageing.

All bodies experiencing or preparing for perimenopause are welcome, and it’s appropriate for all ages, whether you use HRT, natural pathways, or have had a medical menopause.

The day will include:
Gentle, adaptive movement
Meditation
Deep rest
Reflective exercises
Group and individual work
Delicious vegan lunch & snacks
Herbal teas
